The Phoenix baseball team was lead by Caleb Ingle’s complete game shut out of cross county rival Morehead last night. The Phoenix broke open a pitcher’s dual with two runs in the bottom of the 6th to secure the victory over the Panthers. Justin O’neal led off the inning with a single and moved to third on a throwing error at second base. He scored on a sacrifice fly to give the Phoenix the lead and all the runs it would need for the Phoenix. The Panthers made it interesting in the top of the seventh by loading the bases with two outs but Ingle got a ground ball to short to end the threat and seal the victory.
